This is such a beautiful pillowcase, I look forward to going to bed even more than I used to!! Almost wish I could find a matching sheet set, but that might be a little much. Actually, think I might buy some dark teal sheets to showcase my pillowcase!! Very highly recommend!!!! Review by Christine L. (Posted on 22/10/2018)
Buy this one, you wont be sorry

This is the BEST pillowcase I have ever purchased. I had another pillowcase (supposed to be silk), but it turned out to be a satin charmeuse, possible polyester? YUCK. I hated it! I was always hot and sweaty. THIS pillowcase stays cool, and I have not gotten hot or sweaty once! Review by Lindsay M (Posted on 22/10/2018)

Silk vs Satin

Why silk satin pillowcases cost more than non-silk satin pillowcases?

Firstly, satin is a weave, NOT a fabric. Do not mix satin pillowcase with silk pillowcase!

Secondly, satin weave can be made from silk or other non-silk fabrics such as polyester and nylon.

That’s why those non-silk satin pillowcases are much cheaper than silk satin pillowcases!

Only the pure mulberry silk pillowcase with satin weave or charmeuse silk pillowcases can bring full health benefits of silk.

Pay for a little bit more money, but enjoy huge and eternal health benefits, why not?

What kind of health benefits that silk has?

  • Organic protein fiber
  • Naturally hypoallergenic and breathable
  • Completely chemical-free
  • 18 amino acids, good for skin and hair nourishment
  • Luxurious shine and appearance
  • Soft and smooth to touch
  • Durable and easy to care

Lilysilk’s silk pillowcases

We at Lilysilk promise you that, unless stated on the product page, all our silk pillowcases are made of 100% pure and natural mulberry silk with satin weave and nothing else.

Benefits

Skin-care and sleep-promoting

Pure mulberry silk is composed of animal protein containing 18 essential amino acids, which is known for its effectiveness in skin nourishment and aging prevention. Most importantly, the amino acid is able to give out a special molecule substance which makes people peaceful and calm, promoting sleep throughout the night.

Smooth and hair beauty

Unlike other chemical fabrics, Silk is the most natural fiber extracted from the silkworm, and the weaves are much tighter that of other textiles. The ultimate smooth and softness of silk pillowcases keep your hair gorgeous and soft like no other pillowcases can. No more sleep-crease or messy hair in the morning after using pure silk pillowcases for a period of time.

Absorptive of moisture and breathable

Silk-fibroin in silkworm is capable of absorbing and transpiring sweater or moisture, keeping you cool in summer and warm in winter, especially for those allergenic sufferers, eczema and those who stay in bed for long period of time. That’s why dermatologists and doctors always recommend silk bedding for their patients

Anti-bacterial and wonderfully soft

The sericin contained in silk prevent the invasion of mites and dusts efficiently. In addition, silk has the similar structure of human’s skin, which makes silk bed linens wonderfully soft and anti-static. Silk pillowcases keep your skin and hair gorgeous and soft like no other pillowcases can. No more ’sleep-crease’ or a ‘sleep line’ in the morning.
